Let’s change the world, let’s shift it
Let’s shake it and remake it
Let’s rearrange the pieces
The patterns in our maze
The reason in the maze
The reason for our days
In ways that make it better
In shades that make it brighter
That makes the burden lighter
Because its shared, because it dared
To dream and then to sweat it
To make our mark and not regret it
To plant a seed and humbly say
“I changed the world today!”
The free bird leaps on the back of the wind
And floats downstream till the current ends
And dips his wing in the orange sun rays
And dares to claim the sky
The caged birds sings with a fearful trill
of things unknown but longed for still
And his tune is heard
On the distant hill for the caged bird
Sings of freedom
I am the earth
And the earth is me
Each blade of grass each honey tree
Each bit of mud
And stick and stone
Is blood and muscle
Skin and bone
Today I celebrate this day
And today across the world we shall say
As long as life
As dear as free
I am the earth
And the earth is me
