Here is today’s schedule:
09:00-0925: Say good morning to your class mates. EMW.
09:25-09:30: Register.
09:30-10:00: Together, we’ll go through today’s work and discuss any issues. Once that’s clear, you will check to make sure all your links work and you are able to open the documents and videos, as well as looking at the independent work and making sure you understand is expected of you. We will also look at today’s non screen activity task and set today’s kindness task.
Can I remind you all, that no one should be in their pyjamas or in bed! Everybody should also make sure that they have eaten their breakfast before the register is taken. This is a learning environment and you need to take it as seriously as you do, when you are in class. There should, also, be no personal discussions or spamming via the chat unless advised to do so!
10:00-11:00: Lesson 1 – Live Online: MATHS – Area of Compound Shapes
Today, we will be looking at how to calculate the area of compound shapes. This is slightly more tricky than finding the area of rectangles but if you managed to complete yesterday’s work then you will be able to definitely give this a go! . You will need to bring with you, your times table and addition knowledge, along with pen and paper.

In this lesson, you will be writing your opening for ‘The Viewer’. The focus, is to use as much detail to describe the setting as well as setting the tone for the story. This is your opportunity to use as many WOW adjectives, verbs and adverbs in your writing. It is your opportunity to show of the new skills that you have learnt and to include: non finite clauses; relative clauses and expanded noun phrases.
