DEADLINE for video entries is Friday the 12th of March. Record your videos now or you’ll miss out. Only 1 week to go!
Hi everyone. So this is your last chance to be in a video with global super star Ed Sheeran. If you’ve been thinking about it but haven’t got round to it yet, don’t miss out on this chance! Staff, Pupils, brothers and sisters and parents are all welcome to send a video in.
Make sure you watch all the videos on this post carefully so that you know exactly what to do to record and send your video to me.
Ask an adult to help you, and make sure you don’t move the camera around a lot. Keep it as still as possible please. Make sure you smile!
Also make sure the 4 BEEPS are clearly heard on the video you send me and you keep the music playing non stop from start to finish. The video you send me should be about 4 minutes and 40 seconds long.
Hi Year 5, welcome back to Module 2 of your Jam-Bus Online Music lessons with me, Mr Spoerer .
This Module we are exploring “The Orchestra” which is truly the biggest most awe inspiring style of music because it involves so many people playing so many different musical instruments.
WALT: How to learn the different “TIMBRES” or “sounds” of each instrument in the “Woodwind Section” of the Orchestra and be able to identify them just from hearing each instrument’s “Quality of Sound.” This is what Timbre means. It’s a french word that means exactly how an instrument sounds, and the different noises an instrument can make and how it makes that noise.
Colour these and post to the blog your favorite instrument.
500 bonus YUMU points for those who do.
We’ll continue focus on the Pitch, (high or low notes) of each instrument and the name of each pitch. The highest being Soprano, Mid to highAlto, Mid to LowTenor andlowest which is Bass. We’ll also explore Whistle, Double Reed and Single reed sounds of Woodwind instruments.
We’ll also know the names of each instrument in the Woodwind Section.
The highest being High Soprano, Piccolo Mid to highAlto Flute, sopranoOboe,Mid but large range Clarinet, the Alto Cor Anglais, LowTenor to bass Bassoons andlowest which is the ContraBassoon.
Watch this video to learn the names and sounds of the “Woodwind section” of the Orchestra.
Use this for more music work. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and find the video called “BBC Philharmonic’s Whistle-Stop Tour of the Orchestra and complete the linked Ten Pieces worksheet.” Only do this if you didn’t do it last week.
On the BBC Website You can watch the Orchestra playing all the instruments and fill in worksheet provided on what you can hear. Please take a photo of your completed sheets and post to the blog so i can see your great pictures.
Here is the video showcasing all the sounds of the instruments in the Orchestra. CLICK HERE
Hi everyone. Today’s big announcement is that we are re-launching “The Perfect Project 2021, feat Ed Sheeran and the LMP Orchestra.”
YOU COULD BE IN A VIDEO WITH ED SHEERAN AND THE LMP ORCHESTRA!
Back in Lockdown 1, we released this video that featured Pupils, Staff and Parents of the Pegasus Academy Trust singing Ed Sheeran’s song, “Perfect” as a multi screen video. (After watching the youtube video, keep scrolling down.) NOW YOU COULD BE PART OF THIS AMAZING PROJECT! Parents, Pupils, Staff, Brothers and Sisters are all welcome to post an entry. Do one video per person please emailing via www.wetransfer.com to jambusmusic@gmail.com
Ed was on a well deserved break after his record breaking tour “Divide” when we created this, so his management company didn’t want him featured in the video until he was back to work. He’s been recording his new album and it’s nearly finished, so his management company have now said it’s now okay for us to include Ed Sheeran in the re-release! I have the video he sent me already, so now all we need it you. Not only could you be singing with Ed Sheeran, but also the LMP Orchestra will be added to the new version so it will be an amazing thing you can send to all your friends and family to say you’ve been part of.
Watch this video to introduce the project.

Make sure you can hear the 4 loud beeps on the video you send me.

This video will give you the lyrics you need and the beeps you MUST have on your video. Turn up your speakers as loud as they go. Press play, follow the instructions and start you recording when I tell you to on the video.
