Good morning Venus,

Here is today’s schedule:

09:15-09:30: Say good morning to your classmates. EMW – though this morning, I am going to read Chapters 3 and 4 of The Refugee Boy, in preparation for this morning’s, live reading lesson.

09:30: Register.

09:30-10:00: Together we’ll go through today’s work and discuss any issues. Once that’s clear, you will check to make sure all your links work and you are able to open the documents and videos. Also, you should take a look at the independent work and make sure you understand is expected of you. We will also look at today’s non screen activity task and set today’s kindness task.

Can I remind you all that no one should be in their pyjamas or in bed! Everybody should also make sure that they have eaten their breakfast before the register is taken. Today, the register will be taken at 09:30. This is a learning environment and I need you to take it as seriously as you do, when you are in class. There should, also, be no personal discussions or spamming via the chat unless advised to do so!

10:00-11:00: Live Online Lesson 1: READING – Understand Vocabulary Within a Text

Today, we will be continuing with The Refugee Boy. The focus of today’s lesson is to understand vocabulary, what it means and the different kinds of vocabulary questions, you may be asked to answer – whether it’s for a test or just independent activity questions. The chapter we will be reading, today, is Chapter 5.

11:00-14:15: During this time, you are expected, to complete the work for all three subjects, independently and upload it to the blog.

*LESSON 2 – MATHS: Mathletics and TTSR

Today you will need to complete the work that has been set for you on Mathletics and TTSR. The work, that will be set on Mathletics, will be the focus, for next week’s maths lessons and the work that you have looked at this week. The focus is multiplication and this week’s focus was area. So, make sure that you attempt all the questions – it will give you a preview (and confidence boost) of what is to come as well as consolidate your learning from this week.
